Like most decades, the ’90s has seen its fair share of flops and hits. While it gave us grunge-inspired flannel shirts, tribal face-piercings, Winona Ryder, and surfer lingo-speaking-Ninja Turtles; the ‘90s is also responsible for cargo pants and Steven Seagal.
Marking a new chapter in their Equipment series, adidas Originals recently dropped their first instalment of EQT for 2017, updating the iconic ’90s franchise for today’s market.
The EQT Support ADV silhouette for 2017 brings the contemporary EQT Turbo colour palette to the next generation Equipment model for the very first time. True to the shoe’s original formula, the EQT Support ADV features a sock-fit two-tone knit construction, structured with moulded TPU heel panel and an integrated three-stripes lacing system. Finishing touches include welded synthetic nubuck on the toebox and a reflective quarter panel, placed atop a fluid EVA midsole with EQT’s iconic moulded three-stripes details. Offered in the new EQT colour palette of Core Black and Turbo Red, the result is a bold step forward in the ever-changing story of the Equipment Series.
These new kicks are accompanied by a bold new manifestation of the EQT design philosophy; the EQT Support 93/17, which completes the collection of the EQT Support RF, EQT Support ADV PK, and EQT Support Ultra — each decked out in the Equipment Series’ brand new Turbo colour palette.
Renowned German photographer Juergen Teller lends his touch on the series’ Lookbook as Turbo Red underpins the entire release as the new signature colour for EQT. A stark change to the range’s original EQT Green, the new colour scheme sets the stage for the next generation of EQT.
The EQT series SS 17 retails at RM630 onwards and is available at all adidas Originals stores.
