adidas Originals x Diesel
adidas Originals refreshes its year-long celebration of the 60th anniversary of the iconic 3-Stripes mark with yet another Originals Denim by Diesel range collection. First launched in 2008, the superbrands tag team it and hit it hard. We first saw it in action on Steve Aoki when he was here for his first ever KL gig at Zouk. Stage diving on repeat saw to it that the jeans were put to rigorous testing as grabby hands pulled every which way. Sadly trademark licenses in Malaysia means this clever pairing won’t make it here but we’d go a long way for a decent pair of blues.
Of the two lines, the men’s is more extensive and includes the straight legged Larkee, tapered slim fit Poiak, baggy Thredee jeans in different washes, and vintage appeal jacket. The jacket returns in the women’s line; the Taiz bears the same dirty wash denim and elastic neck, waist and cuffs but with sass sewn in via golden glittered 3-Stripes bands and Trefoil metallic. Girls also get Floy’s relaxed boyfriend cut denim jeans, Louvely’s flare-leg jeans and Liv’s slim fit jeans.
Apart from the cost of your ticket out of here, you’re gonna be racking up a green bill to bag yourself some of these tidy bottoms and tops. Men’s start at €85 up to €260, the women’s start at €150 and jackets are €220 men’s and €250 women’s. Until you leg it elsewhere for a pair these pix will have to fuel your fantasies. Ho Hum.
