It wasn’t too long ago that Skechers and Snoop Dogg announced an unlikely collaboration that made sneakerheads do a three-sixty.
Now with the collection hitting our shores, we got a chance to try out the Premium Leather Slip-Ins Snoop One OG. Apart from being a mouthful, the model represents what we love best about the brand and artiste – comfort and chill.
The first thing we noticed is that we didn’t need to use our hands putting these kicks on or taking them off.
Making all previous slip-ins obsolete, the Snoop One OG is designed so that wearers could slip into them with ease without bending the heel tab – courtesy of the brand’s Heel Pillow technology which also secures the heel for a snug fit.
When removing them, we used the mid-sole to lockdown the heel-wedge. A simple but thoughtful design feature.
If that wasn’t chill enough, the Snoop One OG also features Air-Cooled Memory Foam cushioned insoles for support and breathability. Although mostly made of leather, the slip-ins were still comfortable to walk around in for a few hours.
For long walks on various surfaces, the shoes have a flexible traction outsole for stability and durability, while the 1.25-inch heels give the right amount of lift for everyday use.
For men, the OG model sports a sleek leather upper with stretch laces and eye-catching smoke graphics on the heel. We think of it as a balance of ruggedness with a laid-back vibe, making it ideal for any casual occasion (much like Snoop’s own music). It comes in two colourways (black and white).
Meanwhile, the women’s version elevates the design with a metallic-trimmed midsole and rose gold lace eyelets, adding a touch of elegance to an already versatile shoe in three colourways (white, black, and pink).
Our last thoughts on these slip-ins? They have become our go-to kicks!
Whether going to the office, a swanky party, or just a chill sesh, these slip-ins just fit in.
