Marks & Spencer ‘Archive By Alexa’ Collection
It seems as though our resolution of not spending too much money on clothes will be a successful failure this year (as it has been for the last couple of years #WeTried). This is mostly because retailers have been collaborating with amazing designers and fashion icons that produce investment pieces — everyone has seen the resale value of Yeezy Boosts, right?
Take Marks & Spencer (M&S) for example; recently, M&S invited the fashion icon of British high street, Alexa Chung, to dig through their archives in Leeds for a new project entitled ‘M&S &’. The purpose of the project is to rediscover some of M&S’s classic staples, which are to be introduced to the current market. For the first edition, Alexa, together with the brand’s design team, curated a 31-piece womenswear collection — it does not disappoint.
The contributing Editor of British Vogue said, “I have always had an affection for Marks & Spencer. I am thrilled to be part of this special and unique project. There was something very touching about looking back through the British fashion and social history for which M&S is synonymous.” We’re thrilled too, Alexa — our savings, not so much.

Twenty-six (26) pieces from this collection will be available exclusively at Marks & Spencer’s store in KLCC in April ’16.
