The first few months of the year is a period of testing out whether or not our resolutions are practical or not. Based on what this collection has to offer, we’re pretty damned sure that saving money is unnecessary because what’s a heavy bank account going to do if our wardrobe is empty? Financial security? Pfft. When Uniqlo and Lemaire announced that they were about to launch a collaborative collection last year, we knew it’d be successful; Uniqlo’s comfort and quality paired with Lemaire’s attention to cuts and details, there was no stopping the collection from selling out in under a few hours — and it did. It’s only natural that the two brands went back to the drawing board to create more pieces for this season! As always, its colour palette is made up of mostly neutral colours with a dash of yellow and red occasionally; which can be seen in the collection’s heap of sweaters, lazy-lounge-around-all-day type of pants, and beautiful dresses — each one comes with a belt just so the wearer can decide if she’d like it loose or fitted. The “brand new” feature of the entire collection is its unisex shoes — yes, they are beautiful.
