Reebok Premieres Its First Ultraknit Called the ZOKU Runner

You know a pair of shoes is a must-have in your collection when rapper Future classifies them as “fresh and comfortable.” As a descendant of the Classic Leather, there’s a lot on pressure on what Reebok is going to come up with next, but this is the brand that was responsible for one of the most iconic sneakers in our lifetime, so the new contemporary silhouette for SS17 called the ZOKU Runner is nothing short of amazing.

Paying homage to ZOKU’s Japanese translation – to be continued or to be a part of a tribe – the latest sneaker is a product of evolution as it draws several elements from its past but with an upgraded crosscheck benchmark in a folded TPU cage. Reebok toys with translucency and prints to show the versatility of the crosscheck brandmark that was created by the brand’s founders in 1980. The ZOKU Runner is also keeping up with the trends of a sock-like collar and a digital knitting technology that reduces material waste.
