It’s time to get rid of that work from home back pain!

The government announced that starting 1 July, spa, wellness and reflexology centres, including services by blind masseurs, can resume business as usual, according to Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri.

All outlets, staff and customers must follow the standard operating procedure (SOP) such as social distancing, checking temperatures, using face shields and registration through MySejahtera app.

Spa, wellness and reflexology centres can open but only with workers who are Malaysian citizens and they must be screened for COVID-19 before going back to work, according to The Star.

The minister said that blind masseurs can give these services as well, but they must register with the local authorities beforehand. He also said the government was aware of some 3,000 blind masseurs whose income had been greatly affected by the Movement Control Order.

“Now that the infection curve of COVID-19 has flattened and the number of cases has gone down to single digits, we will allow them to operate,” he said.
