Health Setback Forces Sudden Cancellation Of Joji Show In Malaysia & Singapore
Japanese singer-songwriter Joji has regrettably called off his much-anticipated ‘Pandemonium’ tour stops in Malaysia and Singapore, leaving fans disheartened.
The celebrated artist, who initiated the world tour excitement in August, was scheduled to perform at the Merdeka Hall, World Trade Centre, Kuala Lumpur on 3o November.
In an Instagram announcement on 29 November, concert organiser Live Nation Malaysia conveyed the unfortunate news of the cancellation. The 31-year-old artist, currently based in the United States, cited health reasons for the abrupt decision:

Via an Instagram story, Joji shared, “Unfortunately, I won’t be able to make it to my upcoming shows in KL, Singapore, and Hong Kong due to health reasons. I will be back, I promise!” In case you were wondering, he did not disclose the nature of his illness that led to the cancellation of the three shows.
Live Nation Malaysia, echoing Joji’s sentiments, reposted the announcement on their official page, expressing regret and assuring fans that ticket refund details would be disclosed soon. They apologised for any inconvenience caused and sought the audience’s patience and understanding.
The cancellation left fans devastated, especially those who had traveled from different states and countries to witness Joji’s live performance in Kuala Lumpur. Frustrations were palpable, with some suggesting that the show should be rescheduled rather than cancelled, especially considering Joji’s commitment to resuming the postponed shows. While some criticised the organisers for the last-minute announcement, others empathised with Joji, asserting that unforeseen health issues take precedence.
Fans also acknowledged that the singer’s well-being should be prioritised and recognised that the update might have been conveyed to the organisers last minute as well.
As of now, there is no information about the ticket refund process, and fans await updates from the organiser.
