Dorothy Perkins S/S11

Dorothy Perkins spring summer collection takes us back to the past to bring us trends for the future. This season they take inspiration from the ’50s quirky fun theme and the ’70s glam to bring together an ensemble of colourful and playful items matched with elegance and nostalgia.
From the ’50s, prints and patterns are set to come back alongside denim and floral. No doubt we will also be seeing the return of Capri pants and dirndl skirts together with conversational prints and colour blocking. The ’70s glamour is evident as Dorothy Perkins brings back pastels and does a bold mix match of yellow, cobalt and tangerine popped against crisp white on tailoring and backless dresses. Drawing inspiration from iconic women such as Bianca Jagger and Jerry Hall, this season also features jumpsuits and harems with an eclectic mix of bold prints, crochet and beads embellishment.
Pairing vintage and modern, Dorothy Perkins is all about getting the key pieces in to put together a wardrobe full of colour and fun that will bring you from pretty girl next door to glamour queen.
