Adidas Originals x Vespa
Coming hot on the heels of Originals Denim by Diesel, the mind meld between Adidas Originals and Italian lifestyle brand Diesel, sadly unavailable in Malaysia, 2009’s new men’s sub-collection is a pal-up with Italian scooter manufacturer Vespa.
Adidas Originals Spring/Summer 2009 collection’s current crop of creations reflects decades of the brand’s rich heritage and lifestyle credentials. It also includes Adidas’ latest collaboration with Classic Italian scooter brand Vespa, yet another reason the fashion capital of Milan was chosen as the location to unveil the season’s latest.
Perfect for nostalgists and clothing connoisseurs alike, you don’t need to own a scooter to appreciate the line which encompasses tees, pants, track tops, jackets and shoes. Mod styling comes to the fore in signature colourways of white, tan, burgundy and black. Footwear that takes design cues from classic Vespa moped details. T-shirts constructed from organic cotton blend fabric are embellished with cool Vespa graphics and tailored stitchlines, and finished with Trefoil and Vespa signatures.
Among the highlights are the jackets which come as a 100% washed cotton twill with an allover printed satin lining, flap pockets and a stand up collar version or in premium Nappa leather. The driving suit jacket in track top tricot material comes with matching track pants.
