Stoned & Co Unveils Its FW17 ‘The Descendant’ Collection

Y’all know what it is. Stoned & Co, the drastically rising Malaysian streetwear brand, has recently unveiled their first ever premium FW17 collection at Isetan the Japan Store in Lot 10, Bukit Bintang.

Called ‘The Descendant’, the collection embodies a fresh take on the symbolic Japanese maple leaves in its latest range of apparel. With black being the main colour in this collection (black can never go wrong), the pop of bright orange hues of the majestic Japanese maple leaves engraves a lasting impression.

You’ve probably seen a lot of prominent Malaysian bloggers, models, and celebrities wearing the brand, but recently this year, the brand received international recognition as a member from Migos of ‘Bad & Boujee’ fame donned their tracksuits for a concert. This means that the brand is gradually branching out into the international scene, and what a feat that is.

Andrew Ngo, Founder and Managing Director of Stoned & Co, assures the public that the materials used for the FW17 collection is top of the line.

“It has been a long time coming but we are very excited to finally launch our first Fall/Winter premium collection, ‘The Descendant’. Known for its minimalistic yet bold designs, Stoned & Co’s distinctive design is inspired by the different scopes of art, culture, and multicultural aspects of Malaysia to promote positive values such as unity, equality, and peace. Founded in 2015, the brand has become an icon of Malaysian streetwear since their first flagship store opened in SS15, Subang Jaya.

This collection marks many firsts for Stoned & Co. This includes their first denim collection, first ever designer wear, and the field jacket, which has meticulous details in almost every part of the garment. Retail price for ‘The Descendant’ collection ranges from RM249 to RM1300.

Check out the collection yourself at Isetan the Japan Store in Lot 10, Bukit Bintang and stop by their photo exhibition designed by Illegal Studio. The exhibition has been going on since 24 November, and will be up until 30 November, so ya’ll better get a move on or you’ll miss it.
