Japanese sneaker brand ASICS and Singapore’s premier sneaker shop Limited Edt have continued their streak of collaborations with the ‘Vanda’ pack. Consisting of the iconic GEL-Lyte III and GEL-Lyte V silhouettes, they’re reimagined as a tribute to the hybrid orchid that represents Singapore’s diversity; Vanda Miss Joaquim aka the Singapore Orchid. But of course, ASICS’s heritage remains a constant as both its black ‘KURO’ and purple ‘MURASAKI’ won’t be mistaken for anything other than their respective classic templates.
The ‘MURASAKI’ (GEL-Lyte V), with its deep purple, azure, and yellow colourway, is for sneakerheads who prefer pops of colours to their look while the ‘KURO’ (GEL-Lyte III) is starkly black, which is contrasted by the laser-etched orchard print on its premium, soft leather upper. Plus, its gold brass finish on the heel and reflective stripes would add more character to your all-black get-up.
