The family-friendly event will be filled with incredible food and cultural performances by a Chinese orchestra and a percussion ensemble. Keeping to the theme, expect a glorious lantern tunnel erected just for the event as well as lots of food trucks – gotta keep y’all well fed!

Those bringing children would be delighted to know that Light Up Together is going to allow your kids’ creativity to run wild via fun activities such as a lantern painting contest (which they can win up to RM200 worth of prizes), 3D pen doodling, and other arts & craft. Adults, don’t feel left out, Bean to Cup is set to hold a workshop on coffee appreciation in addition to its coffee and mooncake pairing.

Want something both you and your children could enjoy? Dessert sensation Dragon’s Breath – which had made its rounds in Philippines and South Korea’s night market since two years ago – will be available at the event. The cup dessert usually comprises of liquid nitrogen-doused corn crackers, meringue, and puffed cereal, and is called such from the billowing smoke one breathes out after consuming them. Even if you don’t have kids, this will bring out your inner child.

But of course, as fun as these activities are, the real showstopper is AKASA Cheras South’s show units that you can experience first hand.
