Cafes in Kuala Lumpur can be hip and cool, but what does it take to actually have a conversation over coffee without hearing any honks or construction work around here? Of course, there are a few cafes that can provide you that, but the ambiance of a cosy place is always hard to find. Sometimes being stuck in KL can be a bore too. So why not drive a little and wander around? Perhaps you might stumble upon a bohemian rooftop restaurant-cafe. Specifically, like Denali & Pinnacle The Wanderer’s Cafe located in Bangi.

We all know what you’re thinking – “Damn, it’s so far”. Well, depends on where you live, if you’re from KL or Damansara, it roughly takes around 30 minutes of driving. That’s not that bad considering you can jam out to your favourite Spotify playlist or pretend you’re the guest celebrity on Carpool Karaoke. Also, bear in mind that it’s rated 4.8/5 (!) on Facebook, with reviews saying it’s super chill with great service and delicious food at reasonable prices – it’s definitely worth it. Their pasta and western food, in particular, are what most people are drooling for.

Besides all of these heavy meals, you can opt for desserts and some good ol’ cup of joe.

Okay, we get it, the food looks and tastes incredible but enough about that. Can we please talk about how obsessed we are over the aesthetic of the place? The cafe is located on top of a typical shoplot but when you climb up the stairs, it’s like discovering a hidden gem. The modern yet bohemian-esque style fits perfectly with all the comfort food available. Hanging out here can sometimes pass by real quick as the vibe is super welcoming. They even have nights dedicated for card games and movies – featuring a screen projector for everyone to see – to fill up your time.
