In case you haven’t heard, Rihanna has reached her philanthropic peak by raising $2.3 billion for education in developing countries. Last week, the singer incessantly tweeted global leaders ahead of a global education fundraiser in Senegal, ultimately raising the amount mentioned.

She has long contributed her generous efforts in promoting education for various parts of the world, including Malawi, and she actively seeks donations from several world leaders who share the same passion. Indeed her efforts were deemed fruitful since she became the Global Ambassador for the Global Partnership for Education back in September 2016.

Although Rihanna’s participation gave the fundraiser a strong boost, both Rihanna and the organisation behind it hope that by 2020, they would be able raise up to $2 billion in annual funding.

During the inaugural GPE Financing Conference in Dakar, Senegal, Rihanna thanked those who’ve pledged and donated generously to the cause, she added:

“We’ve made tremendous progress today, but of course, our work is never done. We have a long way to go. This is a fight we’re never gonna stop fighting until every boy and every girl has access to education.”

Rihanna was named Humanitarian Of the Year by Harvard University last year for her contributions to her hometown in Bridgetown, Barbados, and for her Clara Lionel’s Foundation Scholarship Program, amongst her other charitable endeavours. Check out her acceptance speech below:

How does she do it? How does she manage to run a successful beauty empire, win a string of prestigious music awards (Hello? Grammy moment with Kendrick Lamar), star in a movie with a bunch of A-listers (Ocean’s), become every major fashion designer’s darling, AND run her philanthropic initiatives whilst dating a serious man-candy who’s also a prince?

Only bad gal Riri can…
