5 Marvel Characters That Are Stronger Than Thanos

With the hype surrounding the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War, it’s only fair you know that Thanos isn’t the only baddie that can obliterate the Avengers singlehandedly, or is the strongest. Sure, The Mad Titan is strong, super intelligent and has the Infinity Gauntlet but he’s also a grape.

Jokes aside, that doesn’t change the fact that he’s one of the few that ranks in the hierarchy of ridiculously strong characters in the Marvel lore.

These five characters we’ve chosen are not just better, but stronger than Thanos. Marvel fanboys or comic book geeks would definitely know these dudes, but to the normal moviegoers and Chris “Daddy” Evans stans out there, this is Marvel 101 for you.

Galactus

A.k.a. Devourer of Worlds a.k.a. The Great Destroyer. Yup, those are some of the nicknames given to him. You might recognise him from the awful Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, but that ain’t no Galactus, that’s just some sky fart.

Galactus was born in a universe that no longer exists and is feared by many across the universe. Why? Well, his cosmic powers grant him the ability to have godlike powers like manipulation of his size and mass, teleportation, telepathy, time travel, immortality and resurrection of the dead – among the many things that he can do. He also has a butler called the Herald of Galactus, which is pretty cool.

Eternity

The manifestation of the multiverse itself, a cosmic entity that is exists everywhere and nowhere simultaneously. His powers include unlimited ability to manipulate time, space, matter, energy, magic and reality for any purpose. Eternity is an abstract, relatively omnipotent entity that represents all time and reality in the multiverse.

The dude has been around since the beginning of time and he’s eternal.

He only comes when there’s imminent threat to the universe. In the comics, the first human to ever be in contact with him was Doctor Strange, when Dormammu tried to manifest in earthly dimensions. When that happens, expect some badassery happening because damn, you’re in the face of a God now.

The Living Tribunal

If Eternity is like a God, then who can match him? Well, there’s The Living Tribunal – the entity that exists across the entire Marvel universe and the embodiment of the Marvel Multiverse itself. His day job includes being the supreme authority and judge of the beings in the universe (while looking cool as hell).

He’s so powerful that he makes every celestial being in Marvel look cute. Just check out the image below:

Beyonder

It’s kinda hard to top this list when you have The Living Tribunal, but there’s actually one that’s more powerful than the previous entities mentioned – it’s the Beyonder. Both an Inhuman and Mutant, this is what happens when you mix the two; you get a strong and virtually omnipotent cocktail of a character.

The Beyonder is also one of the most powerful characters in the Marvel Universe and comics in general. In all his versions, the Beyonder has the ability to manipulate reality and can even destroy Earth with a mere thought. Holy shit, right?

One Above All

Okay, no one can top this one. Not even The Living Tribunal or Beyonder. We’re at the top now, and at the top there’s the One Above All – The God of the Marvel Universe and the Multiverse. He’s responsible for everything that happens in the universe, and is the creator of all beings, including cosmic entities and every Marvel character that you love.

He’s the boss of The Living Tribunal, and whatever TLT does, it’s because of his will. Pretty crazy, right? Not only is he the most powerful character, he’s the only character that is omnipotent. Not virtually or relatively; he is.

Whenever you hang out with a comic book noob and they ask you who’s the strongest Marvel character is, you can be cocky and cool by answering the One Above All. That being said, we’re still excited to see what The Russo Bros cooked up in the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War.
